CABANAS
Tavira, Algarve, Portugal
HELLO ..... I am Isabel, I want to share with you my 2 magnificent new apartments, modern sunlit and fully equiped, situated at 50 meters from the pier where the taxi-boats leave for the beach (1€). Situated in Cabanas.... a Portuguese small town near the city of Tavira. A nice place to escape from winter and become an « ADDICTED TO BLUE" ..... surrounded by the sea, the sky, the nature...... the best mediterranean food and wine.... in a safety area (no hurricanes), quiet and warm ....
Preferably, be accompanied to share, pink sunsets , fresh green wine, vast extensions of white sand, the turquoise and blue waters of the estuary, the ocean and the sky, always clear, sunny most of the time (more hours of sunshine than California) .... Surrounded by spices, almond and fig trees aromas.....
For those who like it, there is a golf course near by ( http://www.benamorgolf.com/en/ ) and many others at the surrounding area.
"This natural reserve, Ria Formosa National Park, is a wetland of international importance, the estuary of the Ria Formosa is a labyrinth of canals, islands, marshes and sandy beaches that stretch for 60 km along from the Algarve coast to near the border with Spain. This diversity of ecosystems attracts a wide range of animals including many species of birds. One of the rarest species is the Swamphen Violet.
The extraction of "fleur de sel" and the gathering of crustaceans and bivalves (mussels, oysters, clams, razors, etc.) are other traditional activities of the local population living in the estuary.
These are then used with great talent to create delicious gastronomic specialties.
The "Ria Formosa" estuary is the place of origin of the "Portuguese Dog" (water dog) given as a gift to Mr. B. Obama. This type dog was a reliable companion of the tuna fishermen, in old days.
Now, the Algarve Coast became the dolphin’s preferred feasting area.
I would like to motivate as many Canadiens as possible, to enjoy this place during winter, so we can create a group of Canadien's retirees addicted to blue.... I remain at your disposal, with pleasure, to help you celebrate life .....
